Once you’ve harvested these crops, you can use them as ingredients in different cooking recipes to create meals to both eat and decorate your island with. First - just like with wheat, sugarcane and pumpkins - you need to know where to find carrots, potatoes and tomatoes. All of these crops can be purchased individually for 280 Bells or in a bulk of five for 1,400 Bells. It will take them four days to grow and they will do so naturally if you don’t water them. You don’t, however, have to water them when it rains or snows. The downside to not watering your plants, however, is that they grow as many fruit or vegetables, so, if you’re planning on doing a lot of cooking, we recommend keeping to that daily watering schedule. Once you’ve collected a good amount of carrots, potatoes and tomatoes, you’ll be able to use them in a variety of cooking recipes!
