Whether you’re planning to take it with you across Warzone or Black Ops: Cold War matches, this light machine gun is one of the best of the bunch. If you’re less worried about recoil and more interested in not running out of ammo during tough fights, this LMG presents itself as an intriguing option to consider. It comes with its array of disadvantages, but choosing the best tools to compliment them makes this weapon more than viable. This page will cover how to unlock the Stoner 63 in Warzone, and both the best Stoner 63 loadout and class set up to capitalize on its huge and heavy potential. On this page: For more explainers, read our selection of best Warzone weapon recommendations, as well as deep dives into popular picks such as the FARA 83, Bullfrog, Swiss K31 and PPSh 41. This can be done across Warzone, Black Ops Cold War and of course, Zombies. Due to the low level requirement, jumping for a few matches of Nuketown 24/7 or across Team Deathmatch playlists should be more than enough. If you are a Warzone person, we recommend Plunder mode. This way you can just respawn and continue to gain as much experience as possible in each match. But if not, battle royale mode should get you up to speed after a handful of matches.
Muzzle: Agency Suppressor (unlocks at level 46) Barrel: 21.8” Task Force (unlocks at level 48) Optic: Axial Arms 3x (unlocks at level 7) Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip (unlocks at level 41) Ammunition: 120 Rnd Speed Mag (unlocks at level 25)
Let’s start with the muzzle. Alongside sound suppression to keep the weapon as silent as possible, the Agency Suppressor comes with an increase to bullet velocity, damage range and vertical recoil control. Both the aiming stability and aim down sight speed will be affected slightly, but not by a large margin. We can, and should, push bullet velocity even further for the Stoner 63. The 21.8” Task Force barrel is perfect for this, as well as adding more range and strafe speed. You will inevitably receive more recoil because of this attachment, but don’t worry, that’s what our underbarrel choice is there for. Optics tend to be of personal preference for Warzone loadouts, but it varies from weapon to weapon. In this particular case, we recommend adding the Axial Arms 3x to the LMG, which received a rework during Season 3 Reloaded. There are other options of course, but ours covers everything you need as it adds more accuracy to the LMG as well as triple zoom magnification. The overall increase in bullet velocity and damage range of this loadout pairs well with a magnifier, and this one will excel at the job. The Field Agent Grip will be your perfect addition to deal with that pesky recoil. It slightly decreases firing movement speed, both in hip fire and ADS instances, though it shouldn’t impact that greatly in practice. Lastly, we couldn’t help but increase the ammunition a bit more. The 120 Rnd Speed Mag makes for the perfect pick to make the bulky mags even more daunting. We would have recommended the 120 Rnd if it weren’t for the fact that it decreases the weapon’s reload duration, which is already considerable. This attachment increases that aspect, as well as providing a bigger mag, with a slight cost to aiming time. You will barely have to worry about reloading from now on. Warzone Season 5 is almost here! If you want to learn more about firepower from previously, we explain the best Welgun loadout, best Cooper Carbine loadout, best Gorenko Anti-Tank Rifle loadout, best STG44 loadout, best MP40 loadout, best Automaton loadout, best BAR loadout, best Combat Shotgun loadout, best Type 100 loadout, and best Kar98k loadouts.
Perk 1: E.O.D. (Unlocks at level 1) Perk 2: Overkill (Unlocks at level 38) Perk 3: Amped (Unlocks at level 1) Secondary: PPSh 41 (Unlocks at level 15 of the Season 3 Battle Pass) Tactical: Stun Grenade (Unlocks at level 1) Lethal: Proximity Mine (Unlocks at level 43)
The nature of this LMG limits the choice of perks quite significantly. Cold-Blooded is useless with such a noisy weapon, and Quick Fix might not trigger as fast as it would happen with assault rifles, for example. E.O.D. is great to mitigate explosives (as long as they’re non-killstreak related) as well as fire, which makes it a small but handy boost to have. As per usual, you’re gonna want to opt for Overkill in your second perk slot. We opted for the PPSh 41 this time around thanks to its speedy fire rate and excellency in close to mid distance encounters. By following our suggestion, we recommend choosing Amped as your third perk. This will ensure you’re switching weapons rapidly, making the most out of the range effectiveness of your loadout. If somebody dares to sneak up on you, switching to the PPSh 41 to make use of its hip fire makes for a great defensive tactic. Lastly, we recommend carrying a Stun Grenade to give you a breather during intense fights, or set up an attack window just before the Stoner 63 comes storming in. As for lethal, we’ve found the Proximity Mine to be a great companion for this weapon in Warzone. It might not guarantee an instantaneous enemy kill, but it serves as both an offensive tool and an alert of incoming danger. With this weapon, however, you won’t have a problem dealing the finishing shots afterwards.
